Colour Crush: Emerald Green

I think burgundy is going to be the colour of A/W '12 judging by all the shops at the moment, but I kind of did burgundy last year? Forest greens and khakis are going to be my sort of thing for this year. I really like the New Look cardigan from above, I'm hoping it's not such an odd shape in real life though! I think New Look are doing really well this season, I've seen more I like there than I have in Topshop which is really odd for me! Matalan also have some really good pieces, wish there was one nearer me!

Recently I've been preferring gold over silver, especially when it's with black!

I also want to add studded clutch bags to this list but I seem to have misplaced the pictures for it! But I particularly like this one.

Also, sorry for being a bit MIA recently, I've done that thing where you manage to fit about a weeks worth of things into 3/4 days! I don't think I stopped for 5 days. It was all worth it though! I will get round to publishing and replying to all your comments tomorrow :)

Asymmetrical

Long time no outfit! I've been kind of reluctant doing outfit posts as there are no blank walls in my house or the lighting is just poop. Got some crazy shadows going on, but you get the idea :) Today I feel like I've done loads even though I haven't really! Tense times picking up my brothers GCSE results this morning, but thankfully he passed everything and he's off to Sixth Form. A's in Maths and Statistics, flippin' heck.

I fall in and out of love with this top, I've had it a fair while now but I tend to just wear it around the house as I think it looks like a nightie sometimes! I feel the need for some funkier leggings to wear with this.. Disco pants would be ideal but you wouldn't catch me in a pair of disco pants!

I've also been looking at the new Louise Gray for Topshop collection today and the nail polish looks like an absolute DREAM! I want them all. The other bits are cute too, but personally I don't have £175 knocking around for a sequin dress! Okay, enough rambling now.. I'm going to do my nails and then start getting ready for my night out!

Wish List #23

01. I spotted this Cross print jumper on Missguided and then of course found it on eBay hastily afterwards. eBay and Missguided have about 80% of the same stock but eBay is cheaper if you'd never noticed! It's still only £12.99 though so not too bad at all. I liked it because it reminds me of some of the Topshop Unique pieces.

02. I've been eyeing up that galaxy jumper for the longest time now (slight exaggeration) I've yet to see it in my size though :( 

03. If you didn't know, I'm rather fond of sausage dogs! I think these are so cute! Doesn't even matter that they don't match my room, lol.

04. Move aside £38 Topshop version and £20 Zara version and say hello the £8 Select version! I MUST stop walking past Select and remember to go in and find it. (Also in black too)

05. My black skater skirt gets a lot of wear, so it seems only right to buy another colour! 

06. I keep looking for these earrings in Miss Selfridge and the similar Topshop ones but I can't find them, so my search extends to Brighton this weekend. 

Speaking of Brighton.. I'm not entirely sure how relevant this wish list is, I'll probably just go into Primark and forget everything! Are there any Brighton shops that are a must visit?

Olympic Nails

Yes, it's a bit late.. But there's the Paralympics! I think I'll be recycling some of these ideas - let me know if you did an Olympic inspired nails!

The first ones are definitely my pride and joy! I spent a fair amount of time on them because I thought they'd be the only time I would be at the Olympics - we saw the Cross Country. You can see the planet jump in the background! Apologies the pictures aren't amazing, I need to train my family up when it comes to using a dslr :P

The second designs were for when we lined the Streets of London to watch the Triathlon in Hyde Park. We also went to the BT London Live to watch the track cycling on the big screens, how exciting! Was safe to say there was a whole lot of glitter on my bedroom floor after that nail painting session! 

The final designs were for the Modern Pentathlon which we managed to get tickets for just a few days before! We were really lucky, but it just goes to show perseverance really does pay off :) (That ticket website was driving me up the wall...) GO GB!

Hope everyone's Olympic blues aren't too bad! Did you go and see any events? Are you off to the Paralympics?

A/W Outfit #2

Can it just be Autumn already?! Haha. I've already decided that a little cropped leather biker jacket is going to be my coat of choice for the winter. I also want to try out darker lipstick as I've never tried it before, this £1 MUA one would be perfect!

The shoes have been on my mind ever since they came out but my local Topshop doesn't stock them and I like to see shoes in the flesh before I buy. Of course they need to be accessorised with cute frilly ankle socks! I already have 4 pairs of these socks but they're all in pastel shades so it's just a given that I need some autumny ones ;)

These images are from a few weeks ago when we had that beautiful sunshine - seems like such a long time ago now! I've been putting off posting these images as I didn't like the full length shots (too much flesh on show, eek) Being the wally that I am, it's taken me two weeks to realise I could still post the other images! 

Today I've been lazing around as going to London yesterday really wore me out! I always think I'd like to live in London but it completely drains me, I don't know how you do it Londoners! I (kind of) saw the Triathlon whiz around a few times before heading to the gigantic live screens in Hyde Park to watch the track cycling - hooray for our golds!

I'm now going to watch The Girl who Became Three Boys as it was filling up my timeline last night, it sounds fascinatingly disturbing..

July Favourites

Seven months of 2012 gone and we've only had about two weeks worth of sun! Take me to Turkey immediately. It's not all bad though as now I know exactly what I want (clothes wise) for the Autumn!

Missguided A/W 12

I found the new Missguided A/W collection today and felt I just had to share as it's a Blogger's paradise! It's full of embellishment which I love when it comes to A/W clothes - if you like studs, spikes and sequins then I'm sure it'll be right up your street! Not forgetting that Missguided is actually reasonably priced!

Is it bad I'm already spotting some potential Christmas party dresses?! My top three pieces are:

- The simple white blouse with collar tips pocket tips on the pockets (I never thought about putting collar tips anywhere else!)

- The classic simple cream blazer, totally turned around my some contrasting spiked shoulders, POW!

- The fierce spiked and studded skirt, you definitely wouldn't want to bump into that!

July was quite fun filled. I went camping in the pouring rain, did some intense shopping on Oxford Street, turned 20, the Olympic torch came through my town on my Birthday, I had my braces off after two whole years, my friend and I did some epic planning, a mini heatwave - cue sunbathing, the Olympics began and then I went to watch the Cross Country!
