Ice Cream Nails

As I seem to lack pastel clothing (I don't know why this is?!) I have to make do with pastel nail varnishes! I've spied a few pastel knits on the New Look website, so maybe a cheeky trip to town is in order!
I'm off now to go and paint some 'Cath Kidston inspired' nails! But before I go, have you heard about MAC changing their animal testing policy? I think it's awful that in this day and age, with huge advances in technology that companies feel the need to test on animals. I'm pretty sure that if budget brands can manage without it, a high end make up brand can too.

Leave your thoughts! Enjoy your Friday evening :)

Monochrome

Top: Primark | Shorts: Punkyfish | Shoes: Primark | Hair Bow: Topshop | Nails: Barry M, Silver Foil

These shorts are probably about four years old now - way before the time of the much sought after Motel jeans, I love digging out things like these! I bought them when I had my little Punkyfish obsession, they also came in a skinny jean version which I wanted too but I knew I'd never be brave enough to rock them.

I snapped these photos of my outfit the other day, before it got ridiculously cold. You know (or I know) when winter is on it's way when your hands have a deathly chill to them all day and you're apprehensive about leaving you're cosy bed! On second thoughts, that could just be my laziness :P. Yep, I'm back to my knits and onesies for the coming months.

I just thought I'd quickly mention as well that I'm making lots of changes (mostly behind the scenes) to my blog, just to make it easier to navigate etc. So, if you see anything out of the ordinary that's why (:

Hope you had a good weekend!

Scalloped

Scalloped Peter Pan Top | New Look
Black Cardigan | Marks and Spencer
Jeans | Primark
Satchel | Primark
Swallow Print Scarf | Primark
Nail Polish | Barry M - 297
YSL Arty Replica Ring | DollyBowBow
Perfume | DKNY Be Delicious
I feel like I have so much to talk about but really, it's a load of rambles! This is what I wore today to meet my friend who I haven't seen in months (university steals friends :( ) we had some nosh and browsed the shops. I swatched a fair few Topshop lipsticks and I'm really tempted to get Desert, it didn't look too pretty in the tube but on my hand it looked lovely! I also took the opportunity to swatch one of the new Sleek Pout Polishes... For some reason, I went for the bright blue one (why?!?) and ended up walking around town with a smurf hand!

The nail varnish is a pretty new addition to my Barry M family. Seriously loving it at the moment - it's highly pigmented, considering it's a glitter. I might do a review of this in fact, I don't think it has enough love! I've got my eye on the red one too.

Finally, I said I'd show you the completed Decopatch/new make up storage tray in this post. So here it be! This is mostly the make up I don't use very often, but I still like to keep them looking nice so when I do use them I don't have to rummage around for a particular item. I now need to Decopatch the other boxes I have :)

Wish list #9

My recent wishes have decreased as of late as it seems everything I set eyes on sells out in a bat of an eye, I spend my time chasing said product instead of sourcing new beautiful things! Also, my nearest Miss Selfridge has closed down (how odd?!) so no more pretty jewellery sales I can go and raid!

1. (Jeans) Cheating slightly with this one as I actually ordered them last night! Last week I went into town to get the Topshop version but they didn't have any in stock. They don't even have them on the website any more either. #storyofmylife
2. Peach Melba ...Not that I need more nail polishes!
3. This may possibly be my new favourite scent, if you like Malibu (always my drink of choice!) then you'll enjoy this.
4. I'm still on the search for some chunky heels! Missguided have some really nice ones but I'm worried they'll be too clompy on my feet especially as I have silly skinny ankles, hmm...

What's on your wish list?

Hello Kitty Nails

T-Shirt: MAC Hello Kitty range
Jeans: Primark
Bracelet: MAC cosmetics Hello Kitty range
Diamanté Hair Bow - Accessorize

As usual I got a bit carried away and couldn't just leave it at the nails.. I haven't worn this top or these jeans for months, it's always nice to find something you haven't worn for a while. I think this Barry M Strawberry Icecream could possibly be my favourite nail polish, I only got it recently but I can't get enough of it! Something else I can't get enough of are my square tipped nails (my natural nails btw!), even if they are more prone to breaking.

This t-shirt is from eBay but it's actually one that the MAC staff would have worn during the Hello Kitty promotion so I can pretend I work for MAC ;) Teehee I wish! The bracelet is also from eBay because MAC sold out of them all. Right, I'm seriously babbling, I'll shut up now.

Bumblebee Nails

With Spring just around the corner (hopefully/maybe/you never know with Britain) and seeing this video pop up on my Youtube Subscriptions list I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon with these nails!

I smudged the bee :( Then I got a bit carried away and did some matching make up and took about 100 photos of the nails and make up and wasn't really happy with any of them!

Also, does anyone know any good online/free photo editing programs? My Paint Shop Pro trial ran out and the disc I have doesn't work with Windows 7.

Pretty Pastels

I adore these nail paints by Barry M, literally can't get enough of them, I can't wait for Spring and then it'll look far more appropriate! Actually, today showed signs of Spring, there was some gorgeous sunshine which I've missed a lot. It was still flipping freezing though :\
L > R: Berry Ice cream, Strawberry I/C, Blueberry I/C and Mint Green

On my thumbnail which you can see if you look carefully, I used the green and blue. I just need the yellow pastel to complete the collection! I think I'd prefer an orangey pastel colour though but I don't think Barry M do one.
Alsooo, my topcoat has gone gloopy so I couldn't put one on, anyone know any good cheap top coats? I'll probably just get the Barry M one.

The best things in life are free!

On a bit of a freebie win today! I've learnt that Boots Advantage cards are one of the most amazing things invented :) If you don't have one, I suggest you sign up for one.

Went into Boots because I wanted some new Barry M nail paints, I'm trying to build up a nice collection of them  not only because they're amazing but they also fit in my draw well! They didn't have a huge selection but they did have two I wanted, both pastel colours - Strawberry Ice cream and Berry Ice cream. I just need a pastel orangey peachy colour now!

And then my mum brought two No.7 products and she needed a third item because they do a 3 for 2 offer, she didn't want anything so I got myself a L.E lipstick in Bridgette! This is from the Spring/Summer Collection,  which overall I thought was really nice. I love the packaging as well.

In high spirits I went into Topshop and picked up a dress which I'm not going to show you yet! I think everyone's going to have it though :S Completely forgot about The Sun and Barry M free make up offer, and zoomed over to WH Smiths in hope of them having the paper, which they did! With part one complete, I tore the token out and whipped over to Superdrug to claim the make up. I was successful!

I like the eyeliner and lipgloss, I'm not sure about the nail varnish, it's sort of a reddy pink - I can't decide if I like it or not. The lipgloss matches my Strawberry Icecream nail varnish rather well though!

I wore a bit of a Valentines outfit today - Heart print tights, Love ring and Love earrings!
Lace Jumper - Topshop (Loads of other shops have copied it though!)
Tube skirt - New Look
Heart Print Tights - Primark
I also wore my double fingered love ring but I took it off before these photos. The top has a black acrylic paint mark on it, the tights have the above Barry M nail varnish on them and a ladder in them. I can safely say I'm one messy pup.
How has your weekend been so far? Anybody else love their Boots Advantage card?

Love and Frogs

Valentines Day is most probably going to be like every other very average day, doesn't stop me celebrating it though - it's good to share the love, why should it just be restricted to couples?! ;) ♥

I have two lovely things to share with you all tonight! First up is my Frog Prince...
(Who clearly isn't very photogenic!)
Can you believe this is my first Lush purchase ever? It's actually a present for my mum :) I think I saw him on Dollybowbow's video and found him adorable! I've been reading so many raving reviews on Lush as well, I thought it was finally time to break the seal.

And secondly, I've did some Valentines Day nails - I love having seasonal nails! Roll on Easter :D
If you prefer the more subtle nail art approach...
Hey wonky lines ~~~~
Small piece of interest for you all! Free Barry M make-up with The Sun newspaper tomorrow! - I only found out about it yesterday! Details here.
01. I'm going into town tomorrow, going to have a bit of a shopping spree :D I have over ten pounds worth of Boots Advantage card points to spend! I'm going to get three new Barry M nail varnishes if they have colours I want, every time I go in, they seem to be so understocked!
02. Next week I've got study leave at college which means I'll have lots of time for blogging and outfit posts!
03. I'm having two teeth out on Wednesday - anyone had any experience with having teeth out?!
04. I have a stinking cold, hopefully some retail therapy will sort it out!
05. New layout and stuff coming next week, look out for it :)

Have a great weekend lovelies!

Chanel Nails

After reading the post on Sophy Robson's blog about fluro green nails being big for S/S 11, I decided to dig out my Barry M Spring green polish and do a bit of nail art! I brought it because it was a cheap replica of the much sought after Chanel Jade green shade which was sold out everywhere!

Cooler than me

Went into town today - not really sure why, it was quite spontaneous. My gramps has recently retired and he was fine during the summer where he could potter around in the garden, but in the cold weather he's bored! He went round Tesco's with my mum the other day and shopping certainly isn't his favourite thing... So into town we popped.
Initially I wanted to get my hair cut because its seriously dead atm! That sort of went out the window, so did our shopping plans.
Mum: "Lets walk through Topshop to get to Boots"
Me: "Sounds good! I'll have a sneak peek..."
Half an hour later we're in the queue, lol.

Topshop skater skirt in camel £20

I saw this on the mannequin and few weeks back and fell in love with it. Had a brouse round and found the beauty and it had 15 pounds off! Result! Was very pleased because skater skirts are going to be a big news for s/s 2011 - think Louis Vuitton. Also loving the camel, slightly ashamed to say my first piece of camel coloured clothing. It's very versatile actually.
It's good quality as well. I often find Topshop things don't always last that long but I think this is a winner :)

Set off looking for Barry M red glitter nail varnish, but both Boots and Superdrug failed me. Probably left it too close to Christmas, whoops!

Couldn't pass up the chance either to go to River Island. Part of their sale has started and I can't pass up a sale! I never used to like RI, I don't think I ever looked properly and just passed it up as 'chavy'. You still get a few dodgy pieces but there are some really unique pieces and really on trend. I think their bags are always worth looking at. I had my eye on this Ring clutch because I love how they used McQueen as inspiration with the knuckleduster ring, I already have two leopard print bags though!

I was going to have these for my birthday way back in July, but I didn't fancy paying 8 quid for something I'm potentially going to ladder in a day. I'm not very careful with tights! So I snapped these up pretty quickly because they're similar to Chanel's temporary tattoos.

Overall I'm a happy bunny, went to the pub in the evening too for a long awaited catch up with my friend who's just returned from uni.
