Dress: Topshop | Shirt: DIY | Tights: Primark | Shoes: Primark | Rings: H&M | Nails: Deborah Lippmann 'Razzle Dazzle'
My first look I would probably label as 'fashionable work attire', it's relatively smart yet edgy at the same time. Alternatively (if your work uniform is more strict!) you could wear a plain white shirt and some more demure jewellery. It would also work well for school, I was actually tempted to put some knee high socks on instead of the tights!
Moving onto the second outfit...
Dress: As before | Skirt: Primark | Cardigan: Marks and Spencer | Earrings: Topshop Sale | Hand harness: Asos | Ring: Primark
This is the dress worn as a top. I often forget that you can put a skirt over a dress, it works nicely as it bulks the skirt out even more. As far as the outfit goes, it's not that exciting so I tried to jazz it up with a few quirky accessories. I picked up the evil eye earrings in the Topshop sale before Christmas for a mere £1.50, I like them because they're a bit more subtle than some of the other evil eye things I've seen recently. I've had this hand harness for almost a year now, I think! I don't wear it much because it's so delicate and I'm scared I'll break it, nevertheless, it's still pretty.
I'd probably wear this outfit for school/shopping/going for lunch, it's not super dressy but it's not lazy either, if you get me! I wore the same shoes as before, although any pair would work really.
So, there's part 1 over! I hope you enjoyed it, this is definitely one of the more time consuming posts I've done! What do you think?

Wow!! I love the first outfit sooo much! I love the way you've DIY-ed the shirt too - wish i could do that. It's such a stunning outfit sweet! xox
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you! You should give it a go, it was really simple but it does look pretty effective if I do say so myself!

I love those ideas, so cute! :)
ReplyDeleteI have that Topshop dress in red and indigo but I want it in black too.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of wearing it to work but worried it was too short but I think its ok with thick tights. I am only 5ft 2 so it should be ok to wear and I love how you wore it with the sheer blouse.
xx
I recommend the Primark super cosy tights, they're like leggings with feet and they're so fleecey and warm too :) I'm 5ft 8 and I don't find it horrifically short so it should be fine on you!

I love this style of dress, they're so flattering and versatile as you've shown :) I love the idea of wearing it as a top and adding a skirt! x
ReplyDeleteThanks :) You can also wear it as a skirt with a top over it... But more on that in an upcoming post! :P

Love the DIY shirt! That's amazing with the studs around the cuffs too.
ReplyDeleteI've just noticed they sell the croc polish online at love fashion for £3.99 and do free delivery :) If you can't find it in store anywhere xx
Ooo, thanks for that! I'll try town one more time as I like seeing the offers they normally have on Barry M, but if not then I might make a cheeky order :)
