Stripey

Brrrrr! Isn't it chilly today!? Between you and me, I've actually wanted it to be colder so I could wear my new scarf which I snapped up in the Jack Wills (hadn't you guessed?) sale for £12.60 instead a jaw dropping £49! It's very cosy indeed.

I also opted for my Topshop wool skirt which is probably one of my favourite items in my wardrobe - it goes with everything and it's a much more interesting alternative to black! I got it last year in the sale for £20 before Christmas and it's good quality, which can be hard to come by in Topshop!

Nail wise, I went for a 'lazy ombre' (find any polish going with pink in) sitting there mixing pink polish with white on four separate occasions didn't sound too appealing!

January Favourites

Blimey, it's practically the end of January already! I decided to do a bit of a different favourites this time round, being a new year; a more collaged mood board layout (also making the most of Picnik before it goes!) Has anyone found an alternative to Picnik yet?

Colour Crush: Mint

Oops. Kind of just realised this is pretty similar to my pastel wish list I did the other day... Sorry for tempting you with pretty clothes! Mint green happens to be my latest favourite, I think it looks so fresh - perfect for Spring. If I had to pick one thing from above it would probably be the shorts, with the first bag coming in a close second (I love the vibrancy of it!)

Topshop Hieroglyphic Nail Tutorial

As many of you may know, I can't resist a bit of nail art, a new collection and Topshop. So of course, I couldn't pass up some hieroglyphic nails which were created by Sophy Robson for Topshop Unique S/S 2012.
I tried to go for a sand colour rather than a gold by using the taupe colour to tone down the yellow but it didn't work, in case you're wondering where I used the Topshop polish
You don't have to be too neat when drawing the shapes!

I changed mine a bit from the originals because I didn't want to completely replicate them as that would be boring! My favourite is the eye design, which I might try on all ten nails, I reckon it'll look freakyyy! Will you be trying these?

After composing this wish list, it's official that I can not wait for Spring! As much as I love layering up in the Winter and being snug as a bug, pastel colours are just so so pretty. My favourite item from the above has to be the lilac jeans from New Look, they're only £23 and come in lots of different colours which I wouldn't mind owning too! What's your favourite piece?

Primark S/S 2012

Being a Primark fan I always look forward to seeing the latest collection, especially as Primark don't have a website. I thought I'd share some of my favourite looks and pieces with you, but you can the full collection here.

These are my three most favourite looks, mainly due to my love of collars! I only really like the blouse in the middle look, not sure about those shorts or the wedges. The third look is my top favourite as the sweetheart neckline with the little peter pan collar and buttons is just so so cute! It's also a bit of a steal at £17 too!

I love how clean and crisp the shirt is. I actually saw this before Christmas but I let it go, it's calling me again now!
I'm not really keen on these trousers but I do really like the belt and the colour of them, I hope Primark do them in a jeans version.
Dalmatian top: £8
I thought this car patterned top was a bit different, I quite like it. I've noticed that with this collection, there's a pattern to suit everyone!

I like this zigzagged playsuit, the colours are really nice.
I love the array of different patterns on this navy dress (although I think it's actually a playsuit, they call it a dress?!) The three quarter length sleeves are cute, along with the flared bottom.
Primark's accessories are definitely one of my favourite things to shop for, especially when you can snap up some lovely things for a few pounds! The little red and navy bags are sweet, and that lock is very Mulberry-esque...! The apple bag is ridiculously cute, and reminds me of the Hello Kitty apple, I'm so tempted. I like the snakeskin belt too, it's a nice way to incorporate a bit of snakeskin without looking too OTT.

Ways to Wear a Skater Dress 3

This is my third and final skater dress post, I hope you're not too sick of this dress! In this final post I thought I'd show you the more dressed up way to style the skater dress. The outfits are all quite similar, the first is quite formal and the third and second are potentially what I wear if I were going for a night on the town! Here are part 1 and part 2 if you missed them.

Scruffy shoes again! I tend to wear these a lot on nights out and it seems people enjoy spilling drink on them :( I love the block heel, I'm actually thinking about DIYing the bottom of them red like Louboutins. If I were you I'd change the blazer to a much more fitted one - that's another thing my wardrobe lacks!

I think I had 'student night' in my head when I put together this outfit. If I ever go out on a Thursday night, I always go for a more casual outfit and that's slightly more wacky. I never wear heels on a student night, I find it looks a bit try hard! I found these starry tights in Primark for £2.50, I was pretty chuffed as I'd been eyeing up the Henry Holland ones for months - beats £14.99 any day!

And, finally another going out outfit. I'm completely NOT sure about this outfit, I probably wouldn't wear it if I'm honest, I feel like I give the wrong impression with the suspenders and leopard print heels. On a more positive note, I do however love love love my shoes :) They only cost £10 too!

Ways to Wear a Skater Dress 2

Second installment of my little skater dress series :) The looks today would be good for day to day wear. Tomorrows third and final part will feature the more dressed up going out skater dress look! If you missed part 1 from yesterday, here it is.

Before I even start. I apologise for my FILTHY, scruffy boots. The camera decided to make them look even dirtier than they are in real life. #Ashamed

The theme I was going for with this outfit was a slouchy, layered look. Chucked on and mildly effortless whilst keeping cosy. Ideal for running errands, popping over to see somebody quickly etc. I love this burgundy knit (pinched from my mum's wardrobe!) but it's a little bit itchy and too short in the arms, I think? I don't know if it's meant to be like that or not. I'd probably stick a jacket on over this too for the ultimate layers because I get cold all the time too!

 I'm going label this one ~ all about the accessories ~ all the jewellery is very statement and probably a bit too over the top, haha. I'm also wearing my Topshop studded loafers, if you can imagine what that looks like! It's a pretty 'tough' outfit but I really like the mix of textures, I think the fur and leather give it a real edge, especially juxtaposed with the cross necklace. I'm not sure why I chose to wear my cat earrings (wish I could get a better picture of them, they're amazing!) thinking about it now, those little spiked earrings would've been better, oh well.

I realised all of my previous outfits were pretty dark, so I fancied something a little more girly and pretty! If I had a pink cardigan I'd wear it with this, but basic cardigans are something I lack in my wardrobe! I also did a pink lip which you can't see very well but the thought was there!

Like I did in my previous post, I've used the dress in a completely different way, this time as a skirt. I also think it would look really nice as a skirt with a big chunky cropped knitted over the top. Ohh, and if you hadn't already noticed/guessed I love anything with animals on :)
